- Onion 100g
- Napa Cabbage 200g
- Water
- Vegetable Oil 1 tbsp
- Soy Milk or Milk 50-100ml
Seasonings
- Cooking Sake (Rice Wine) 2 tbsp
- Salt (to taste)
- Chicken Bouillon Cube
- Secret Ingredient (to taste)
Steps
- Cut 100g of onion into bite-sized pieces.
- Roughly chop 200g of napa cabbage.
- Place the chopped onion and napa cabbage into a pot.
- Add water, 1 tbsp vegetable oil, and 2 tbsp cooking sake (rice wine) to the pot.
- Place the pot over heat, bring to a boil, then cover with a lid, reduce heat to low, and cook for 15 minutes until the vegetables are very soft.
- Blend the cooked vegetables into a paste using a hand blender. This step is key! Hand blenders are especially useful for making soups in winter.
- Thin the vegetable paste with 50-100ml of soy milk or milk.
- Season with salt and a chicken bouillon cube to taste.
