From our 'Nihilistic Recipes' series, aiming for zero dishwashing, comes this easy-to-make Chuno Sauce Coleslaw using convenience store ingredients. Simply massage shredded cabbage and ham with seasonings in a bag – no knife required! The trick is to use a low-acidity mayonnaise. It's incredibly simple yet addictively delicious.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients (2 servings)

  • Shredded Cabbage 150g
  • Ham 40g

Seasonings

  • [A] Mayonnaise 1 ½ tbsp
  • [A] Chuno Sauce 1 ½ tbsp
  • [A] MSG(Ajinomoto) (MSG) 3 shakes
  • [A] Salt 1 pinch
  • [A] Black Pepper to taste

Steps

  1. Cut 40g ham into small pieces with scissors.
  2. Add 1 ½ tbsp mayonnaise to the bag containing 150g shredded cabbage. 【PRO TIP!】 We recommend using Pure Select Mayonnaise, which has low acidity and blends well with dishes.
  3. Next, add 1 ½ tbsp Chuno sauce. 【PRO TIP!】 Using thick Chuno sauce helps the flavor coat the entire cabbage.
  4. Add 3 shakes MSG(Ajinomoto) (MSG), 1 pinch salt, and black pepper to taste, then close the bag.
  5. Gently massage the ingredients together from outside the bag.
  6. Continue to firmly massage until the cabbage wilts and its volume decreases.
  7. Cut off the corner of the bag with scissors to make it easier to eat, and shape it into a cup.
