Shanghai-style yakisoba made with Wakiya's special sauce, 'Shantsuojan'. The secret to the noodles is in the preparation, resulting in a crispy exterior and a fluffy interior. This authentic recipe makes it easy to recreate professional-level flavors at home.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients (2 servings)

  • 1 bag Leafy Greens
  • 50g Pork Belly
  • 2 servings Yakisoba Noodles

Seasonings

  • [A] 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
  • [A] 1 tsp Soy Sauce
  • A little Oil
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 4 tbsp All-Purpose Stir-fry Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Oil

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine 2 servings Yakisoba Noodles with 1 tbsp Sesame Oil and 1 tsp Soy Sauce, and mix well.
  2. Cover the noodles with plastic wrap and microwave on 600W for 2 minutes.
  3. Heat a little oil in a frying pan and fry both sides of the warmed noodles until golden brown. Transfer the cooked noodles to a tray lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. The key here is to microwave the noodles with sesame oil and soy sauce to achieve a crispy and fragrant exterior while shortening the stir-frying time.
  4. While still hot, loosen the noodles with chopsticks. The key here is to enjoy both the fragrant, browned parts and the chewy texture.
  5. In the same frying pan, add 50g Pork Belly and stir-fry over medium heat.
  6. Once the surface of the pork turns white, add 1 tbsp Sesame Oil.
  7. Add 1 bag Leafy Greens to the frying pan and stir-fry quickly over high heat.
  8. Add 4 tbsp All-Purpose Stir-fry Sauce and continue to stir-fry.
  9. Once the vegetables release moisture, add the pre-fried noodles.
  10. Stir-fry the vegetables and noodles together thoroughly.
  11. Finish by drizzling 1 tbsp Sesame Oil over the top. Ready to serve!
