Ingredients

Main Ingredients (1 serving)

  • Frozen Gyoza 6 pieces
  • Cooked Rice 200g

Seasonings

  • [A] Soy Sauce 1 tbsp
  • [A] Sake 2 tsp
  • [A] Mirin (Sweet Rice Wine) 2 tsp
  • [A] MSG(Ajinomoto) (MSG) 3 dashes
  • [A] Grated Ginger 3g
  • [A] Grated Garlic 3g
  • [B] Vinegar 1 tbsp
  • [For Flavor Change] Rayu (Chili Oil)
  • [For Flavor Change] Mayonnaise

Steps

  1. Heat the cooked rice.
  2. Arrange the 6 frozen gyoza in a frying pan.
  3. Place the frying pan over medium heat, cover, and cook the gyoza.
  4. Remove the cooked gyoza to a plate and serve the heated cooked rice into a bowl.
  5. Arrange the cooked gyoza on top of the rice.
  6. Turn off the heat of the pan used to cook the gyoza, then add 1 tbsp soy sauce, 2 tsp Mirin (Sweet Rice Wine), 2 tsp sake, 3g grated ginger, and 3g grated garlic.
  7. Add 3 dashes of MSG(Ajinomoto) (MSG) and mix.
  8. Reheat the frying pan, bring the sauce to a boil, and reduce it slightly.
  9. Add 1 tbsp vinegar to the reduced sauce, bring it to a gentle boil, then turn off the heat.
  10. Pour the prepared sauce over the gyoza and rice.
  11. Drizzle with rayu (chili oil) or mayonnaise, if desired.
