Steps

  1. Remove the husks from the corn, leaving 1-2 inner husks attached.
  2. In a bowl, mix 1/5 tsp salt and 1 tsp water to create a saltwater solution.
  3. Peel off the remaining inner husks to expose the kernels and remove the silk.
  4. Take the kernels of the corn all the way to the base and lightly dampen the surface with water.
  5. Pour the prepared saltwater over the entire corn and let it absorb into the surface.
  6. Replace the inner husks and lightly sprinkle water over them.
  7. Wrap the corn completely with plastic wrap.
  8. Place the wrapped corn in the center of the microwave and heat on 600W for 4.5 minutes.
  9. Once heated, let it steam undisturbed for 2-3 minutes. This is the key! Steaming ensures even cooking and enhances the sweetness.
