A fluffy steamed cheese bun recipe made easily with sliced cheese. It's perfect for a snack, easily made in a microwave and frying pan. Adding a fragrant browned exterior makes it even more delicious. Please give it a try!
Ingredients
Main Ingredients (Makes 4 buns)
- Sliced Cheese 5 slices
- Hot Cake Mix 100g
- Egg 1
- Sugar 30g
- Milk 80ml
- Vegetable Oil 1 tbsp

Steps
- In a bowl, add 80ml Milk and 5 slices Sliced Cheese.
- Heat in the microwave to melt the cheese.
- Stir well until the cheese is melted and smooth.
- Add 30g Sugar and 1 tbsp Vegetable Oil to the melted cheese mixture and stir well.
- Add 1 Egg and stir even more thoroughly.
- Add 100g Hot Cake Mix and stir until no powdery bits remain.
- Pour the batter into cups, filling them 80% full.
- Fill a pot with about 1cm of Water and bring to a boil.
- Place the filled cups in the pot, cover, and steam.
- Turn off the heat.
- Discard the water from another frying pan and lightly grease it with Vegetable Oil.
- Once the frying pan is warm, place the steamed buns with the side you want to brown facing down and cook.
- Once browned, they are ready!
