Main Ingredients (2-3 servings)
- Onion
- Enoki Mushrooms
- Grilled Tofu
- Leek
- Shirataki Noodles
- Beef
- Egg
- Beef Fat
Seasonings
- [A] Cooking Sake (Rice Wine) 50cc
- [A] Mirin (Sweet Rice Wine) 50cc
- [A] Soy Sauce 50cc
- [A] Granulated Sugar 15g
Steps
- In a pot, add Cooking Sake (Rice Wine) 50cc and Mirin (Sweet Rice Wine) 50cc. Heat over medium heat to evaporate the alcohol. This is the key! Thoroughly evaporating the alcohol significantly enhances the flavor.
- Once the alcohol has evaporated, add Soy Sauce 50cc and Granulated Sugar 15g. Bring to a boil until the Granulated Sugar has dissolved.
- Once the Sukiyaki sauce is boiling, turn off the heat and transfer it to a container to cool.
- Lightly beat the eggs in a separate bowl.
- Heat the Onion in a microwave at 600W for 2 minutes to lightly cook it.
- Melt Beef Fat in the pot and coat the bottom. If there is too much Beef Fat, remove the excess.
- Place the Leek in the pot and grill until browned. This is the key! Grilling brings out a wonderful aroma.
- Remove the browned Leek from the pot.
- Add the prepared Sukiyaki sauce to the pot.
- Add the Beef to the pot and cook until it's half-done.
- Add the Shirataki Noodles, Enoki Mushrooms, Grilled Tofu, and the grilled Leek to the pot.
- Add more Beef to the pot, and once everything is simmered, it's ready.
