  • Frozen Udon 1 serving
  • Egg Yolk 1
  • Egg White 1
  • Chopped Scallions to taste
  • Garlic 1/3 clove
  • Bonito Flakes to taste

Seasonings

  • [A] Bonito Powder 2g
  • [A] Water 1 tbsp
  • [A] Aji-no-moto 4 shakes
  • [A] Salt 1/3 tsp
  • [A] Sugar 1/4 tsp
  • [A] Oyster Sauce 1/2 tsp
  • [A] Black Pepper to taste
  • [B] Sesame Oil to taste
  • [B] Chinese Seasoning 2/3 tsp
  • [B] Water 120ml
  • Vinegar to taste
  • Lemon to taste
  • Bonito Flakes to taste

Steps

  1. Add 2g bonito powder to a bowl. 【PRO TIP!】 If you don't have bonito powder, heat 2g bonito flakes in the microwave for 40 seconds, then crush before using.
  2. Add 1 tbsp water, 4 shakes Aji-no-moto, 1/3 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp sugar, 1/2 tsp oyster sauce, 1/3 clove grated garlic, and black pepper to taste, then mix well.
  3. Separate 1 egg yolk and place 1 egg white in a separate bowl.
  4. To the bowl with egg white, add sesame oil to taste, 120ml water, and 2/3 tsp Chinese seasoning, then mix.
  5. Heat 1 serving frozen udon in the microwave.
  6. Place the heated frozen udon into the bowl with the mixed seasonings.
  7. Heat the egg white soup in the microwave for 1 minute 50 seconds.
  8. While warm, mix the ingredients in the udon bowl thoroughly.
  9. Add the microwaved egg white soup to the udon.
  10. Optionally, add chopped scallions to taste, vinegar to taste, and lemon to taste.
