A minimalist keema curry that can be easily made in the microwave without onions or a knife. The rich umami of ground pork and tomato juice is condensed, offering an authentic taste despite its simplicity. This easy and delicious curry recipe is perfect for busy days or solo lunches.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients (1 serving)

  • Ground pork 80g
  • Tomato juice 100cc
  • Java curry roux 1 piece
  • Butter 5g
  • Grated garlic 3g
  • Cooked rice 200g

Seasonings

  • Worcestershire sauce 1/2 tsp
  • Sugar 1 tsp
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Tabasco (optional)

Steps

  1. Prepare a heatproof container.
  2. Shake the tomato juice 100cc well.
  3. Place ground pork 80g, the shaken tomato juice 100cc, Java curry roux 1 piece, butter 5g, and grated garlic 3g into the heatproof container.
  4. Add sugar 1 tsp, salt and pepper to taste, and the well-shaken Worcestershire sauce 1/2 tsp, then mix everything lightly.
  5. Cover with plastic wrap or a lid and heat in a 600W microwave for 4 minutes.
  6. Heat the cooked rice 200g in the microwave.
  7. Remove from the microwave and mix thoroughly, breaking apart any clumps.
  8. Serve the warm cooked rice 200g on top of the curry.
  9. Drizzle with Tabasco if desired. 【Tip!】 The acidity and spiciness of Tabasco enhance the flavor of the curry.
