Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine Consommé powder 1 tsp, Sugar 1 tsp, Grated Cheese 1 tsp, Magic Salt 1/2 tsp, and Dried Parsley (to taste). Mix well.
  2. Peel 3 potatoes and slice thinly using a slicer. [Key Tip!] Slicing thinly and evenly makes them easier to roll and cook faster.
  3. Place the thinly sliced potatoes in a bowl, sprinkle with 2 pinches of salt, and let sit for about 3 minutes to allow the salt to penetrate.
  4. After 3 minutes, quickly rinse the potatoes and thoroughly pat dry with paper towels.
  5. Lay out one slice of potato, and place another slice on top. Starting from one edge, roll them up tightly and secure the end with a toothpick.
  6. Lightly coat the rolled potatoes with all-purpose flour (to taste).
  7. Pour about 1cm of frying oil into a frying pan. Place the potatoes into the oil *before* turning on the heat.
  8. Heat the pan over medium heat and fry until the potatoes are evenly crispy and have a nice golden-brown color.
  9. Once the potatoes start to color, adjust the heat to medium-high to medium and continue frying until they are extra crispy.
