Simply wrap lettuce and pork belly with cheese, then microwave for 6 minutes! These healthy and easy pork belly wrapped lettuce rolls are topped with a savory sesame scallion sauce that will whet your appetite. Perfect for busy days.
Ingredients

- Lettuce 6-8 leaves
- Thinly sliced pork belly 6 slices
- Melting sliced cheese 3 slices
- All-purpose flour (for dusting) (as needed)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
Seasonings
- [A] Scallions 8 cm, finely chopped
- [A] Toasted sesame seeds 2 tbsp
- [A] Toasted white sesame seeds 1 tsp
- [A] Soy sauce 1 tbsp
- [A] Vinegar 1 tbsp
- [A] Sugar 1/2 tbsp
- [A] Lemon juice 1/2 tbsp
- [A] Sesame oil 1 tsp
Steps
- Cut 3 slices of melting sliced cheese in half.
- Rinse 1 lettuce leaf under water and pat it dry.
- Make a slit in the tough core of the lettuce.
- Place half of the cut melting sliced cheese in the center of the lettuce.
- Fold in the edges of the lettuce core and roll it up to wrap the cheese.
- Fold in both ends of the rolled lettuce and roll it up tightly.
- Lay out 1 slice of thinly sliced pork belly, season with salt and pepper to taste, and dust with all-purpose flour.
- Tightly wrap the prepared lettuce roll with the pork belly slice, starting from the narrow end.
- Arrange all the wrapped rolls on a microwave-safe dish and cover loosely with plastic wrap.
- Poke several holes in the plastic wrap with a toothpick and microwave on 600W for 6 minutes.
- Finely chop 8 cm of scallions.
- In a bowl, combine the chopped scallions, toasted sesame seeds (2 tbsp), toasted white sesame seeds (1 tsp), soy sauce (1 tbsp), vinegar (1 tbsp), sugar (1/2 tbsp), lemon juice (1/2 tbsp), and sesame oil (1 tsp). Mix well to create the sesame scallion sauce.
- After microwaving, remove the plastic wrap and check if the pork is cooked through.
- Drizzle the completed pork belly wrapped lettuce rolls with the sesame scallion sauce and serve on a plate.
