  • [A] Secret Ingredient (approx.) 1 tsp
  • Salt (to taste)

Steps

  1. Microwave 1 ear of fresh corn for 4 minutes at 100W.
  2. Cut off the base of the microwaved corn and cut it in half horizontally.
  3. Scrape out the corn kernels with a knife and place them in a bowl.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine 2 tbsp water, 2 tbsp mayonnaise, and approx. 1 tsp of secret ingredient. Mix well to create the sauce [A].
  5. Add 4 tbsp all-purpose flour and 2 tbsp potato starch to the bowl with the corn kernels and mix everything together.
  6. Add the prepared sauce [A] to the bowl and mix thoroughly.
  7. Heat a frying pan over low heat and add a generous amount of oil.
  8. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the batter into the pan, spreading it thinly. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes.
  9. Once browned, flip and cook for another 3 to 4 minutes, until both sides are golden brown.
  10. Lightly grill the surface once more to finish.
  11. Sprinkle salt to taste over the finished grilled corn. THIS IS THE KEY! Adding salt tightens the flavor and makes it even more delicious.
