- Fresh Corn 1 ear
- All-Purpose Flour 4 tbsp
- Potato Starch 2 tbsp
Seasonings
- [A] Mayonnaise 2 tbsp
- [A] Water 2 tbsp
- [A] Secret Ingredient (approx.) 1 tsp
- Salt (to taste)
Steps
- Microwave 1 ear of fresh corn for 4 minutes at 100W.
- Cut off the base of the microwaved corn and cut it in half horizontally.
- Scrape out the corn kernels with a knife and place them in a bowl.
- In a separate bowl, combine 2 tbsp water, 2 tbsp mayonnaise, and approx. 1 tsp of secret ingredient. Mix well to create the sauce [A].
- Add 4 tbsp all-purpose flour and 2 tbsp potato starch to the bowl with the corn kernels and mix everything together.
- Add the prepared sauce [A] to the bowl and mix thoroughly.
- Heat a frying pan over low heat and add a generous amount of oil.
- Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the batter into the pan, spreading it thinly. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes.
- Once browned, flip and cook for another 3 to 4 minutes, until both sides are golden brown.
- Lightly grill the surface once more to finish.
- Sprinkle salt to taste over the finished grilled corn. THIS IS THE KEY! Adding salt tightens the flavor and makes it even more delicious.
