Ingredients

Main Ingredients (1 serving)

  • Bean Sprouts 200g
  • Dried Wakame 3g
  • Egg 1
  • Scallions to taste

Seasonings

  • Water 350cc
  • [A] Soy Sauce 1 tbsp and 1 tsp
  • [A] Sugar 2 pinches
  • [A] MSG 9 shakes
  • [A] Black Pepper 4 shakes
  • [A] Garlic Powder 5 shakes
  • [A] Salt 1 pinch
  • [A] Sesame Oil 2-3 drizzles
  • [A] Sake 1 tbsp
  • [B] Garlic Powder (for finishing)
  • [B] Black Pepper (for finishing)
  • [B] Sesame Oil (for finishing)

Steps

  1. Add 350cc water to a pot.
  2. Add 3g dried wakame, 1 tbsp and 1 tsp soy sauce, 9 shakes MSG, 4 shakes black pepper, 5 shakes garlic powder, and 1 pinch salt.
  3. Add 200g bean sprouts.
  4. Add 2 pinches sugar.
  5. Add 2-3 drizzles sesame oil and 1 tbsp sake, then simmer briefly. 【PRO TIP!】 Simmering briefly enhances the flavor.
  6. Crack in 1 egg and simmer until soft-boiled.
  7. Serve in a bowl and sprinkle with scallions to taste.
  8. Optionally, sprinkle with garlic powder, black pepper, and sesame oil for finishing.
