A healthy Curry Namban style recipe using bean sprouts and pork. It's low in calories yet satisfying, and easy to make in a short time. Perfect for those on a diet.
Ingredients
Main Ingredients (1 serving)
- Bean sprouts 200g
- Pork 70g
- Egg 1
- Potato starch 2 tsp
Seasonings
- Water 400cc
- [A] Hondashi 1.5 tsp
- [A] Chicken stock 1 tsp
- [A] Soy sauce 1 tsp
- [A] Sugar 1 tsp
- [B] Curry powder 2.5 tsp
- [B] Sake 4 tsp
- Green onions to taste
Steps
- In a pot, add Water 400cc, Hondashi 1.5 tsp, Chicken stock 1 tsp, Soy sauce 1 tsp, Sugar 1 tsp, Pork 70g, Bean sprouts 200g, and bring to a boil.
- In a separate bowl, mix Curry powder 2.5 tsp, Potato starch 2 tsp, and Sake 4 tsp.
- Turn off the heat of the pot, and stir in the prepared curry powder mixture.
- Mix well, then turn the heat back on and simmer until thickened.
- Add Egg 1 and lightly simmer.
- Serve in a bowl, and sprinkle with Green onions to taste if desired.
