Steps
- Slice the 2 onions in half and then thinly along the grain.
- Spread the thinly sliced onions on a tray and let them sit for 30 minutes, ensuring they are exposed to air.
- Make the dressing. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, vinegar, lemon juice, sugar, and sesame oil. Mix well until the sugar is dissolved.
- Transfer the onions that have been sitting for 30 minutes into a bowl.
- Add the liquid from the canned mackerel (1 can) to the onions and mix to combine.
- Add the flesh of the canned mackerel (1 can) and gently flake it with chopsticks while mixing everything together.
- Plate the salad and drizzle with the prepared dressing.
