- Napa Cabbage 400g
Seasonings
- [A] Salt (a pinch)
- [A] Chicken Granules (1 tsp)
- [A] Soy Sauce (1 tsp)
- [A] Sugar (1/2 tsp)
- [A] Grated Garlic (1/2 tsp)
- [A] Vinegar (1 tsp)
- [A] Toasted Sesame Seeds (1 tbsp)
- [A] Sesame Oil (1 tbsp)
- [A] Black Pepper (to taste)
Steps
- Trim the core of the Napa cabbage.
- Slice the Napa cabbage into 1cm thick pieces.
- Rinse the sliced Napa cabbage and thoroughly pat it dry with paper towels.
- Place the Napa cabbage in a bowl, cover loosely with plastic wrap, and microwave on 600W for 3 minutes.
- Let the microwaved Napa cabbage cool down, then firmly squeeze out any excess liquid. (This is the key step!) Thoroughly squeezing out the water helps the flavors meld better.
- In the bowl with the squeezed Napa cabbage, add a pinch of salt, 1/2 tsp sugar, 1 tsp chicken granules, 1 tsp vinegar, 1 tsp soy sauce, 1/2 tsp grated garlic, 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds, 1 tbsp sesame oil, and black pepper to taste. Add all at once.
- Mix everything well. It's ready when the sugar and chicken granules have dissolved. Enjoy!
